Talend Open Studio Foundation

Introduzione

Talend è LA soluzione di integrazione di dati open source e rivaleggia con le soluzioni proprietarie leader del mercato. Gli atrezzi potenti e di tecnologia aperta permettono agli utenti rispondere efficientemente ad una vasta gamma di esigenze compreso: fornire le datawarehouse, sincronizzare le database, accedere a dei Web services e trasformare diversi formati di archivi (XML, VSAM, delimitato, posizionale, ecc.)

Usando le case studies durante il corso, questa formazione di tre giorni permetterà agli studenti ottenere lo statuto di "Foundation" per Talend Open Studio.

  1. ETL:  An overview of proprietary and Open Source tools
  2. Operational and business intelligence integration
  3. Talend Open Studio

 

 2. Modeling & documentation:

  1. Use the Business Modeler
  2. Documentation management and version management
  3. Organize the model links/Implementation: assignment

 

 3. Job execution: files and databases:

  1. Generate data sets with tGenRow
  2. Understand diagrams and metadata
  3. Manage access to files (XML, positional, delineated, etc.)
  4. Manage database access (native, ODBC access, etc.)
  5. Use Mapper and transform the data
  6. Look up simple, multiple and complex references
  7. Manage shared code

 

 4. Component concatenation:

  1. Use Before/After/First/Last triggers
  2. Use conditional links
  3. Use iteratives
  4. Manage errors:  Trigger IfOK, IfError

 5. Roll out Talend Open Studio:

  1. Model a component using tPerlFlex
  2. Create a simple component

 

 6. Debugging, deployment and optimization:

  1. Debug quickly with tLogRow
  2. Use the statistical mode
  3. Execute step by step: trace mode
  4. Use the internal debugger
  5. Manage the context of executions
  6. Optimize jobs (routines and snippets)

 

 7. Participating in the Talend community:

  1. Use the community tools (Forum, BugTracker)
  2. Exchange with community members
